Tuition Assistance

Keeping education accessible and affordable for the next generation remains one of our most enduring priorities

Tuition Assistance is given to families who qualify based upon an analysis of data that each family submits annually, and funds are available.  Through the generosity of alumni, and friends, Cathedral makes every effort to help families who cannot afford to pay the full tuition.

Each family looking for financial aid will be asked to have an interview with Cathedral Prep’s business manager. It will be the business office’s responsibility to process, analyze, and make initial recommendations for all applications.  Seeking financial aid requires that you have your W-2 and your completed Income Tax return (you will need the information from your tax return to answer many of the questions).  Once an interview is conducted, a committee will review and decide on grants and financial aid.

Even if you have applied for and/or received an award in the past, you must make an appointment with the business office at the beginning of the academic year.

To make an appointment, please email Mr. Louis D’Amico at ldamico@cathedralprep.org.

Awards

Awards will be based on the family’s financial need, student character, and funds available.

If you have any questions or problems with the application, please call the Advancement Office at 718-592-6800, ext. 110.

Scholarships

Scholarships who have been awarded an academic scholarship must maintain certain standards to continue to enjoy the scholarship.  On the final report card each year he must achieve an average of 85% in his major subjects and have no mark below 80%.  These requirements are strictly enforced.

Scholarship students are expected to participate in the Honors Program, including AP Program and take all exams in these courses.

Please contact the main office with any scholarship or tuition assistance questions.
