Cathedral Prep competes in seven different interscholastic sports as part of the CHSAA and participates as an active member in the Brooklyn-Queens Diocese High School Athletic League. The benefit of attending Cathedral Prep is the opportunity for student athletes to excel at more than one sport. For many of the sports offered at Cathedral Prep, there is a Junior Varsity level, and a Varsity level. This presents a better opportunity for our student athletes to succeed at both levels.
The athletic and forensics program encourages growth and maturity in all our student athletes. Our athletes are provided with a unique experience as they form relationships with their teammates which stretch further than just competing together. While having the privilege to represent Cathedral Prep during competition, student athletes foster and promote character traits of commitment, respect, discipline, sportsmanship, and leadership. These traits are designed to continue to form men for greatness.
