A letter from Fr. Kuroly:

March 2022

Dear Friends of Cathedral,

A Blessed Lent and Happy Easter! We enter this season of Easter seeing the many difficulties facing our world. It seems that we have all faced deep hardships and struggles these last few years. Through it all, the Cathedral Prep family has remained together with a profound sense of hope.

We know that as Christians, hope is the light that guides our pilgrim journey on this earth. It is the hope that springs from the love of God who loves each of us personally and intimately with the Grace that knows no bounds. The hope that lies in the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The hope that lies in the life of the Church that sustains us and nurtures us with the sacramental call of the Gospel. I am proud to say that Cathedral Prep is a place of hope.

A way for us to renew this hope is through the efforts made in Cathedral Prep’s annual appeal. For the work at Cathedral Prep in the coming months will indeed be to reawaken and strengthen hope as we face life’s adversities and challenges with a genuine renewal of the academic, spiritual and social life at Cathedral.

This reawakening could only take place through the generous support of our parishes friends like you. Through your prayerful consideration and reflection I invite you to respond in hope by making a gift to Cathedral Prep.

The funds for the annual appeal this year will go to tuition assistance, which brings hope to families struggling economically. The funds will support our discernment and spiritual programs that help our young men come to know their vocation. The appeal will support our athletic programs and social events in its focus on strengthening the fraternity at Cathedral. And the appeal will help enhance the technology and structural care of the building to give students a safe and healthy environment to learn.

In our annual appeal you will be bringing hope to our students. Therefore I ask you to prayerfully consider supporting this splendid work of the Lord. Cathedral needs you and the Church needs Cathedral.

Sincerely yours in Christ,

Very Reverend James A. Kuroly
Rector-President
