Three Seminaries, One Brotherhood

The houses of Cathedral Prep School and Seminary, Cathedral House of Formation (Douglaston), and Saint Joseph’s Seminary (Dunwoodie) met in Douglaston on November 1st for All Saints’ Day. The day celebrated the common brotherhood and mission of forming men to live saintly lives. After a tour of the building, Bishop DiMarzio celebrated Mass and shared a meal with the three communities. The rest of the day was spent in fraternal bonding on the basketball court, on the football field, in the community room, and packing goods for the victims of the hurricane in Puerto Rico.

This day was an initiative for The Year of Vocation sponsored by The Office of Vocations. Cathedral Prep would like to thank Bishop DiMarzio, Bishop Chappetto, Monsignor Vicarri(Rector of Saint Joseph’s), Father Sears (Rector of Douglaston) , Father Suckiel (Vocations Director) and the facultys’ of the seminary institutions, for a great visit!
