Forensics – Coach: Mr. Russo

Cathedral Prep’s Forensics is an interscholastic activity for speech and debate where students compete in local, state, and national tournaments. Participants can compete on the Junior Varsity and Varsity levels with other leagues in public speaking events, some of which include Extemporaneous Speaking, Original Oratory, Declamation, Oral Interpretation, Student Congress, Public Forum, and Lincoln Douglas.

Forensics Update


The the following members of the Speech team have qualified for the NYS Championships: Kevin Plut, Jonathan Oscategui, Rafael Silva, Jasha Basila, Aiden Birth, Frank Oliva, Anthony Haran and Mike Murphy.

Over 20 Member. 5 competed in the State championship 5 students received membership degree from national forensic League and 35 advanced degrees were awarded to cathedral students
